Scope of Project

Supply Labour and Supervision to Hampseys Civils, Dayworks.

Islington Pumping Station was a new flood defense system being installed on the banks of the River Great Ouse to replace the existing pumping station that was originally built in 1959. Increasing the pumping capacity through four fish-friendly, concrete-encased pumps. We had a great opportunity to work with Hampsey Ltd to supply labour & supervision dayworks.

The scope of the work included:

  • Erect and pour, 12m high wall
  • Bankman for all crane activities
  • Temporary works, design, advise and follow up
  • Installation of propping
  • Call off for steel deliveries
  • Substructures: steel fix and pour
